Spooky Mocktails for a GrĂĽvi Halloween

Spooky Mocktails for a GrĂĽvi Halloween

Halloween is here, and to celebrate we crafted some spooky mocktails for you to enjoy over the weekend. Why spend each night drinking only to be hungover the next morning? We invite you to skip the Sunday scaries this year and indulge in an alcohol free weekend instead.

We crafted three different mocktails for you to get in that “Halloween Spirit”- even during this strange year! Since most of us will be enjoying the holiday at home with a few friends or family members, we think it’s a great time to whip up fancy drinks on your own. No more relying on special cocktail bars to get your holiday beverage fix- in 2020, you’re the best bartender in town!

Our mocktails below feature some of our favorite fall flavors like cinnamon, pumpkin and ginger. Each one pairs perfectly with a cozy campfire or scary movie night- no matter what you end up doing, we hope you have a festive & fun weekend!

Witches’ Brew

Homemade spiced cider pairs with crisp prosecco and apple butter to create our very own witches’ brew.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 orange
  • GrĂĽvi Prosecco
  • Apple butter or caramel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Put the apple cider into a saucepan and heat to a slow boil.
  2. Add in the brown sugar & spices and stir to combine.
  3. Stick the cloves into the orange and set into the cider mixture, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  4. Let simmer for 10-20 minutes, then remove from heat & cool completely.
  5. Drizzle apple butter or caramel into martini or other cocktail glasses. Fill halfway with the apple cider mixture, then top with GrĂĽvi Prosecco. Cheers!

Ghoulish Delight

This recipe is courtesy of our friend Audrey- check out her website to view her other content creations!

Ingredients

  • Half a glass of your choice of GrĂĽvi Prosecco or RosĂ©
  • 1 tbsp. of pomegranate juice
  • 1 tbsp. of lime juice
  • 1 tsp. of grated fresh ginger (or a little ginger beer for some extra bubbles!)
  • Pomegranate seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small glass and top with pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch

This recipe is a thick pumpkin pie drink, and pairs amazingly with ice cream or whipped cream. You can use cream soda, but we tried it with our prosecco and a touch of vanilla instead and it turned out great.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1 can pumpkin puree
  • 1 bottle GrĂĽvi Prosecco + 1 tsp. vanilla or 1 bottle cream soda
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • Whipped cream or ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher combine the apple cider and pumpkin puree until well blended. If it seems too thick or chunky you can also strain the mixture through a cheese cloth.
  2. Add in the prosecco or soda and the pumpkin pie spice. Stir in apple slices and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Serve over vanilla ice cream for a float, or pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Have a GrĂĽvi Halloween!
