The Best Non Alcoholic Beer, Wine, and Spirits for Pregnancy

The Best Non Alcoholic Beer, Wine, and Spirits for Pregnancy

You’ve got a baby on the way… Congrats! This is an exciting time of your life- except for when it comes to your drink choices… right? Are you now stuck drinking water or juice while everyone else sips on beer, wine, and cocktails? Do you have to miss out on the taste of those for 9 months?

Nope! Your favorite alcoholic beverages likely have a non alcoholic version on the market somewhere. There are numerous non alcoholic drinks for pregnancy out there. The list below highlights an NA [non alcoholic] beverage for every category. You can still celebrate with champagne, enjoy a beer with dinner, or get creative with mocktails.

Some of these drinks are completely alcohol free and have an ABV of 0.0%. And some contain trace amounts of alcohol due to fermentation, but are less than 0.5% ABV. A drink must be under 0.5% ABV to be non alcoholic. Check the labels if that is a concern of yours. For more information on drinking NA beer during pregnancy, check out this blog post.

Beer

Whether you enjoy light beers or craft IPAs, you have plenty of options. This is a rapidly growing industry, so options are growing by the week. Even some regular breweries are starting to experiment with their own non alcoholic beers. Here are a few exclusively non alcoholic beer companies to get you started.

Gruvi

When it comes to non alcoholic craft beer, we have a wide variety. We started out as a company that wanted to provide great tasting drinks without the negative effects of alcohol, and our options continue to grow.

We currently have an IPA, Stout, Lager, and Weisse for our non alcoholic beer options. You can order our beer online, or look for us in liquor stores in Colorado, Michigan, and Toronto.

Surreal Brewing

If you like IPAs, Surreal Brewing has plenty of them. They have a milkshake, West Coast style, juicy, and red IPA. They also have a Kolsch and two different Porters.

Athletic Brewing

Based in Connecticut, Athletic Brewing offers a variety of options as well as a full taproom. You can order their beers online, or find them in liquor stores. While they are mainly on the East Coast, they have been expanding. They’re currently working on a taproom in San Diego.

Light Beer

If you prefer light beer to craft beer, there are many big brands that have their own NA brews. Heineken and Coors both came out with their own non-alcoholic beers recently. Heineken 0.0 launched in 2017, but only made its way over to America in 2019. Coors Edge launched around the same time in 2019.

You can find these in most liquor stores, so they are a quick and convenient option.

Wine

Drinking wine during pregnancy doesn’t have to come with risks. And it is possible to enjoy a non alcoholic wine that doesn’t taste like grape juice. No matter what kind of wine you prefer, there is a version you can enjoy during pregnancy.

Gruvi

Our Prosecco is perfect for any kind of celebration. It is completely alcohol free with an ABV of 0.0%. It’s perfect for your baby shower, birthday parties, or for getting cozy with at the end of the day.

Mix it with orange juice to make a perfect mimosa for Sunday brunch. Use it as an ingredient for mocktails. Create your own, or check out some of the recipes on our blog, such as this non alcoholic Sangria recipe.   Check out our new rosé too- it’s also 0.0% ABV!

Ariel Wines

If bubbly wines aren’t your thing, Ariel Wines make a dealcoholized Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet is so convincing, you may actually believe you’re drinking the real thing. You can find them in a liquor store near you, or buy them online.

Mocktails

You can create your own mocktails using non alcoholic liquor (yes, it’s a thing!) or find them already mixed and ready to go. If you opt to create your own, our Prosecco makes a great bubbly ingredient.

Mingle Mocktails

Sometimes you want to have a drink ready to go, no mixing required. If that’s the case, stay stocked up on Mingle Mocktails. They currently have five flavors, including a Moscow mule and a mojito. You can find them in select locations on the East Coast, or order them online.

Ritual Zero Proof

If you want ingredients to make your own mocktails, Ritual Zero Proof makes non alcoholic liquors that can replace the alcohol in your favorite traditional cocktails. Their products include a tequila, whiskey, and gin alternative.

If you start to feel a buzz, that’s the placebo effect taking hold! The power of our mind is incredible. Double checking the label will give you peace of mind if that happens.

Seedlip

Another non alcoholic distilled spirits brand is Seedlip. Instead of focusing on non-alcoholic versions of traditional liquors, they create their own flavor combinations using extracts and botanicals to create unique spirits. These include Citrus, Aromatic, and Herbal spirits.

Online Shopping

The best part about shopping for non alcoholic drinks for pregnancy is that you can buy them all online. Being alcohol free means that you can buy them online and they can ship right to your doorstep without having to look up state laws or verify your age. It’s as easy as buying books or food.

If you want to browse around for many options at once, check out NA Craft Beverages for an all-inclusive shopping space for non alcoholic drinks. You can find most of the drinks listed above, as well as many other innovative drink options. If you like hops, check out the Hop Tea or Hop Water.
